Ms. Narese’s 4th Grade Science students recently completed Biochemistry Literacy for Kids, a 6 hour course centering on various biochemistry college level topics including using geometry to create organic molecule structures, how peptides are formed, and  how proteins and elements are found in everyday life. Students used free hand drawing, hands-on modeling, and 3D computer modeling in their exploration of topics. The course is taught by Daniel Fried, Ph.D., an assistant professor of chemistry at St. Peter’s University, Jersey City, NJ.
